I wish I was making everything in this post up but I'm not. This was such an awful experience. Other than this room our trip would've been a 10 out of 10. It seems like there are so many complaints about this place since my last check on Yelp 6 months ago & they're just not doing anything about all these issues. I really don't want anyone to suffer as we did, so I hope you all read this review before booking! Simply AWFUL!!! Better off sleeping in your car!

not kidding. Here's a few examples why (I'm only including the most horrid problems we experienced because this review will be as long as a novel otherwise):

Clean, very comfortable cottage and lots of things for kids to do.

Stayed in a small cottage at Ingleside. Clean and well-maintained, with bath, shower, sink, fridge, dishes, range, microwave, coffee maker. Had heat, but we didn't use it. Had an air conditioner, but we had to shut it off because it was so loud.

    - When we were given our room keys, we were unable to lock our door. After 20 minutes of trying my boyfriend had to tell the woman at the front desk. She came up saying there's a trick to it & looked at us like we're basically morons from the planet stupid. Then she gave us a printed out slip of actual directions on how to lock the door (bc obviously everyone who has been stuck in this lovely room & any surrounding rooms has had issues with the doors here). Too much money to invest $20 on a new door knob/lock? Wow okay...

    - Then we get to the blood or wine stains all over the quilt & sheets. Please refer to the pics I took. The sheets were also all wrinkled and appeared unclean. I can only assume they haven't been changed in quite some time? Disgusting!!!

    - We checked into the B&B Inn & were given a room much unlike the room I booked. I've seen walk in closets that are bigger. What a nightmare. The floors are slanted to the point where you'll lose your balance if you're not careful. The room looks absolutely nothing like any of the pics I saw online when booking 6 months prior. Beware. I ended up however paying $127 less than I was expecting to pay. Maybe because they gave my original room away and decided I'd be fine staying in "The Shining" room that wasn't pictured online? It's a fraudulent mystery really.

This place makes room #237 in "The Shining" look like paradise. I am

    - TV kind of works when you have the lights turned on

    - Everything in the room is on a slant, not just the floors & ceiling. If you stay here (don't!!) you'll know what I mean. Also, no art or anything on the walls except one small sad 3x5 painting. It's like no effort was put into making this room anything remotely decent or pleasant for guests. It really does looks like a cell with yellow walls!

Seems like it would be a nice place to come spend a few weeks with the family, especially in such close proximity to the beaches and sights of PEI National Park.

Basic things in today's day & age that you want in a stay place that this B&B simply didn't have for us which is unheard of in 2017:

There is one heated pool and one that is not heated and fire pits for night. Cavendish beach is very close and would recommend a visit.

When we initially arrived and saw the awful room they gave us, I wanted to go somewhere else but due to being on PEI at the height of the season, there were no reasonable vacancies anywhere close by to be had so we were stuck here for 3 looooong nights.

Was a great place. Peaceful area and close to the park/ocean. Also close to the more commercial side of Cavendish should you choose that.

Staff was friendly and helpful. I think Expedia told me I had to check in by 8:30, but the office is open until 10.

Wifi in your room, a functioning tv, unstained clean sheets, a proper locking door, extra pillows, a hair dryer, comfortable mattress/bed, and space to turn around in (my boyfriend must have stepped on my feet 50 times & vice versa).
